Volunteers Return to Paddington Street Gardens

This November, after a period of time away, a group of volunteers from local community action group, One Westminster spent time improving the surroundings at Paddington Street Gardens.

The old adage, ‘many hands make light work’ proved to be true and the volunteers managed to tidy up over 250 rose bushes, before enjoying a light lunch.

The team worked enthusiastically throughout and the overwhelming consensus from the volunteers was how much they enjoyed getting out and contributing to the local community.

One Westminster works with local organisations to source volunteering opportunities in the City of Westminster for people of all ages, in addition to catering to business employees who want to be matched with local charities to carry out projects to benefit the Westminster community.

Westminster City Council also provides opportunities for residents to volunteer for leisure, libraries and community projects. Those interested in getting involved can do so by visiting the Westminster City Council volunteer pages.
