Active Westminster Champion of the Future

This award recognises exceptional progress by young people involved in our Champions of the Future programme, particularly amongst those who are role models for other aspiring young athletes.

Awa Ndiaye

Awa has had a very successful 2016 in which she won the silver medal for 60m in theEngland indoor championships for the under-15s category, as well as placing second in the London Youth Games for the under-16s category over 200m.

Manon-Suzanne Bukasa

Manon-Suzanne has been involved in athletics from the age of 8 and has madephenomenal progress ever since. She has competed for the England Athletics Championship in the under-15 and under-17 categories, participated in London Youth Games twice as well as the Surrey Championships. She is now trying multiple disciplines in pursuit of becoming a successful heptathlete.

Yasmin Marghini

Yasmin is currently the leading female 1500m athlete for her age group in London. She was the winner of Vitality Westminster Mile under-15 girls category this year, marking the third time she has won at the event, following successes in 2013 in the under-11 category and in 2014 where she won the under-13 girls category. Yasmin was also the only athlete from London to qualify for 1500m at the English Schools competition 2016.
