Works are commencing this Spring/Summer
In line with our ActiveWestminster Strategy, we continue to invest in our facilities and have commenced work on range of new and upgraded facilities at Paddington Recreation Ground.
New additions to the existing facilities include:
- A new two-lane 60m sprint track with LED lighting
- New LED lighting to the whole athletics
- New callisthenics training equipment
- A new small-sided sand dressed Astroturf pitch with fencing and LED floodlighting
- Additional track side storage facilities
Upgrades to the existing facilities include:
- Hockey pitch replacement with new fencing, water cannons and conversion to LED floodlighting
- Resurfacing of the 400m athletics track to align with the new 60m sprint track
- Conversion to LED lighting to the existing Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA)
- Refurbishment of spectator seating
- Landscaping the area and increasing the planting surrounding all these facilities
