Be Part of the Westminster Team: TCS Mini London Marathon Championships 2026

The 2026 Mini London Marathon Championships will take place on Saturday 25 April 2026 and entering is completely free. More than 15,000 children and young people are expected to take part – running, jogging, walking, or wheeling their way through this iconic event.

This event has been running for over 30 years and offers young athletes a unique opportunity to represent their borough and race on the final mile or 2.6km of the official London Marathon course. Participants will experience the unforgettable thrill of finishing on The Mall, just moments from Buckingham Palace.

2026 TCS Mini London Marathon

Athletes will be able to represent this year’s Westminster team based upon their best 5km park run time or an accredited 5km race completed between Monday 13th January to Monday 31st March 2026.

To be able to qualify the individual must meet one of the three criteria below:

  • Born in Westminster 
  • Live in Westminster 
  • Goes to School in Westminster

New Age Categories

New age categories are being introduced based on the UKA Guidance. These are:

This is the process:

  1. All participants in all age categories will need to complete a full park run or an accredited 5km race with a result or shown on their Power of 10 listings.
  2. Following one of the above being successful and to run at this year’s Championships there will be a qualifying window between Monday 12th January 2026 and Monday 23rd March 2026. 
  3. All race submissions need to be for a 5km and any distance under will not be accepted despite the race distance only being 2.6km.
  4. Individuals will then find out if they have been successful on w/c Monday 23rd March 2026 once applications have closed.
  5. For those that don’t know, parkrun is an initiative which provides an opportunity for runners of all ages to participate in an organised run at a park near them every Saturday morning. For details on how to register and where to find your nearest parkrun, click the button below.
