The 2024 championships will take place on Saturday 20th April 2024 across the last 2.6km of the world-famous London Marathon course, finishing on The Mall.
As in previous years, City of Westminster will be entering teams in the following age groups:
Please note the new rule: Athletes must be 11 on August 31st prior to the start of the Competition Year rather than 11 on the race.
This means that year 6 pupils cannot compete against years 7 and 8 pupils, and follows extensive consultation. You can read further info on this here UKA RULES FOR COMPETITION 2022-2024
Athletes will be selected to represent this year’s Westminster team based upon their best 5k parkrun time completed between 8th January and the 8th April 2024.
If you are interested in representing Westminster in the 2024 Mini London Marathon, athletes should first contact ibannister@westminster.gov.uk to register their interest prior to completing their “trial” parkrun.
To represent Westminster at this year’s Mini London Marathon Championships, athletes need to be living or studying in the Borough or have been born in Westminster.
Once you have completed the parkrun you want to submit as your trial time, please contact Ian Bannister ibannister@westminster.gov.uk before 8th April with details of the parkrun venue and date of your run.
