The Network Activity Project Funding is an opportunity for ActiveWestminster network partners to access funds to support health and wellbeing physical activity projects in the community. In the funding cycle for 2026-2027, partners can apply for up to £2,000 to start or upscale a project that promotes physical activity.

Applications must meet specific criteria, some critical ones of which are to be an ActiveWestminster network partner, maintenance of accurate participant records, and provision of a social value plan. The proposed/existing projects should contribute to increased activity and wellbeing in Westminster communities for a minumum period of three years.
Who Can Apply?
To be considered for this funding opportunity, Network partner organisations projects are required to fulfill the below criteria:
Criteria for organisations:
- Must hold or be working towards an ActiveWestminster Mark. Please note, if you are working towards the Mark, you must provide the name of the club/organisation. This will be confirmed by the AW Relationship Officer who manages the AW Mark in this area.
- Continued maintenance of an accurate record (via the Views monitoring system) of total participant numbers per session, number of returning participants, and demographic information as outlined by ActiveWestminster.
- Completion of a social value plan.
- Evidence of project impact, which may include but is not limited to: testimonials, questionnaires, interviews, media (e.g. photos/videos) culminating in an end of project summary report.
Application Criteria:
- Propose a new or project you wish to upscale that will directly contribute to increased activity levels and wellbeing within Westminster communities. We expect outcomes to last three years or longer, even for individual projects which may only be active for shorter durations.
- Provide a projected financial breakdown identifying how funding will be used.
- Organisations are required to discuss the project/provide supporting statements from local partners prior to submitting an application for funding.
- Please note there is a new 500 word limit for organisations completing the funding application process.
Not yet AW Mark accreditted?
The AW Team cannot complete the Funding Agreement Process until your organisation has been fully accredited. Please note that the deadline to attain the AW Mark Accreditation is 16th June.
