Unity In the Community: Football, Friendship And Local Pride

More than 150 young people came together for a brilliant day of grassroots football, teamwork and community spirit – celebrating local talent, building confidence and bringing Westminster’s communities closer through sport.

A day of football for all

Unity in the Community brought young people, families, local clubs and community partners together for a fun, energetic day of grassroots football and connection in Westminster.

With over 150 children and young people taking part, the event created a safe, welcoming space for young residents to get active, meet others and enjoy the power of sport close to home.

The mixed football competition featured four age categories, giving young players the chance to take part, compete and enjoy the game in a friendly, supportive environment

Under 10s (U10): Kicksfuture
Under 12s (U12): Elite 5’s
Under 16s (U16): Warsa FC

From teamwork on the pitch to cheers from the sidelines, the day was about more than the final score — it was about bringing people together through sport.

A huge thank you to everyone who helps make Unity in the Community possible – from local clubs and community partners to coaches, volunteers, families and supporters who bring the day to life and our wonderful team at Everyone Active who facilitate the day.

Unity in the Community is more than a football event. Held twice a year, it gives young residents a safe and welcoming place to get active, build confidence and connect with others, while supporting grassroots football and strengthening community links across Westminster.
