Resources available to help boost physical activity levels this autumn and winter.

With the onset of colder weather, getting and staying active this autumn and winter can be bit of a challenge. Therefore, we want to continue to encourage, facilitate and enable everyone to be as active as possible over the autumn and winter months.

Naturally, the balance of keeping our community safe whilst encouraging everyone to get and stay active is of utmost importance to us. However, recent research conducted by Sport England shows that during the first lockdown, nationally 52% of children under the age of 16 were doing less than half an hour of physical activity each weekday and 32% at the weekend*.

Furthermore, currently just 29% of people are doing at least five days of 30 minutes of activity and disabled people and those with long-term health conditions (23%) are less likely to be regularly active than those without*.

To help our community combat inactivity and reap the benefits associated with getting and staying active, we want to encourage you to make use of the following free to access digital resources, giving you access to a host of activities and/or inspiration, suitable for a variety of ages and abilities.
