We aim to improve the current playground ensuring that play structures and activities are accessible to everyone. We want to foster social inclusion, allowing children from diverse backgrounds and abilities to play together, promoting a sense of community and understanding. The consultation opens on Thursday 18th January.
The Council believes that being active and healthy goes hand in hand with an improved quality of life and wellbeing. We aim to improve Westbourne Green Open Space by offering different types of space that are more accessible, a rich mix of playing opportunities and improve pollution and noise and overall environmental impact of the area.
The council wants to work with you to create a more active community by removing prohibitive play signages. The aim of the pilot scheme is to encourage more people to use the space available to be more active.
There is limited provision that caters to the diverse needs of residents that live in the vicinity of the park. We have proposed new developments that would see this space offer new provisions.
