Play, Train, & Thrive: Exciting Improvements Coming to Paddington Recreations Ground!

We’re excited to announce a major upgrade to our outdoor facilities, designed to create an even better space for everyone to play, train and be active.

A full refurbishment of the Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) and outdoor gym will soon be underway, to be delivered by the amazing the wonderful team at Play Innovation, commissioned by Westminster City Council in partnership with Everyone Active. These improvements will bring refreshed, high quality space that support everything from casual games to dedicated workouts.

Schedule of works

Refurbishment works are scheduled to commence on Tuesday 5th May and will last approximately 4-6 weeks, depending on weather conditions. During this period the Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) and outdoor gym will be fully closed to ensure that works can be carried out safely and efficiently.

Athletics track access restrictions

The athletics track will be partially closed at times to allow safe access for building operatives , delivery of materials, the removal of waste. These measure are in place. In light of this the track will be closed:

  • Weekdays: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Saturdays: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
We appreciate that this may cause some disruption to your usual routine and appreciate your patience while these improvements take place.

The result will be a refreshed and revitalised space, ready to support more activity, more energy, and more opportunities to get involved. We can’t wait to welcome you back to enjoy it.
