ActiveComunities Survey 2022 is now open!

ActiveCommunities 2022 survey is now LIVE!

ActiveWestminster successfully launched the first boroughwide ActiveCommunities survey in 2021…now, it’s back for a second year and growing stronger!

The 2022 ActiveCommunities survey is a great chance for you to share your experience in physical activity, barriers for participation and community wellbeing. If you are over the age of 16 and live, work, study or regularly visit Westminster, we want to hear from you!

By taking part in this survey, you will help us to better understand how Westminster communities engage in physical activity including levels of activity, use of facilities and active travel and barriers to participation. This will help us to direct resources, open up opportunities and inform new initiatives providing support tailored to individual and community needs, helping Westminster to be active and stay active.

The survey takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. Everyone who completes the survey can enter into an exciting prize draw for your chance to win a selection of Amazon gift vouchers and redeemable prizes across our leisure centres!

Click the link below to complete the survey online or request paper copies of the survey by emailing active@westminster.gov.uk

Help Westminster to be active and stay active!

In 2019, Westminster City Council conducted a joint consultation regarding a potential
CycloPlay facility and Bark Park dog exercise area located at Paddington Recreation
Ground.

Whilst initial consultation responses provided positive sentiment in favour of the proposed development, a review of feedback provided by residents through a variety of other sources led to the decision not to proceed with the proposed CycloPlay development.

In lieu of the proposed Bark Park development, work to refurbish the existing dog exercise areas off the Carlton Gate and Morshead Road entrances were given the green light and secured funding over the winter. Works to improve each area commenced in January and February 2022.

All participants who took the time to get involved in the consultation process and wanted to be informed of the outcome of the consultation have been contacted.

ActiveWestminster is commited to providing facilities that enable all sections of our community to be active and the council has outlined its commitment to the Mayor of London’s ‘Vision for Cycling’ in its Cycle Strategy.

Seymour Leisure Centre refurbishment in-person consultation events

Westminster City Council are undertaking an improvement project at Seymour Centre. This investment in the centre will provide new and improved facilities, including a new home for Marylebone Library and mixed-use spaces and services, all while maintaining the building’s distinctive art deco character and architectural features.
