Exciting Reception Area Improvements At Queen Mother Sports Centre Commence Monday 27th October

As of Monday 27th October refurbishment work will be taking place in the reception area of the Queen Mother Sports Centre. These improvements are part of our ongoing efforts to enhance your experience at our facilities.

As always we are committed to ensuring that disruption is kept at a minimum and sincerely apologise in advance for any noise or inconvenience this may cause. 

Clear signage will be in place throughout the building, and our team will be on hand to assist you with all queries and directions.

Active Antz Bouncy Castle Sessions at Church Street This Half Term

Church Street Community Leisure Centre will be running some fun and exciting  sessions for the little ones this October half term. They’ve teamed up with Active Antz to host some bouncy castle sessions, and children and families are included.

These sessions are perfect for younger children, offering a safe and active indoor environment for play, movement and engagement with other children. 

Session information

  • Monday 27th October: 13:30 – 14:30pm & 14:30 -15:30pm
  • Wednesday 29th October: 12:30 – 13:30pm & 13:30 – 14:30pm
  • Friday 31st October: 10:00 – 11:00 am & 11am – 12:00 pm

 These sessions are always in high demand we advise you book in advance to avoid dissapointment

Adults And Child FREE Swimming This Half-term In Westminster!

Get in the deep end this half term! Adults accompanying Westminster resident children can enjoy FREE swimming during the school holidays* at any Westminster City Council leisure centre pool! It’s the perfect way to get the body moving, keep active and do something fun together during the holidays.

All you need is an ActiveWestminster Card, which gives discounted access to a range of sport, leisure, and wellbeing benefits across the borough.

FREE family fitness and fun!

Swimming is a great way to have fun in the water, build confidence, and make the most of the school holidays. Please make sure you read the conditions of use and pool rules before booking.

Check eligibility and rules

  • One free adult per qualifying child.
  • Free swim session times vary by leisure centre – check their website for details.
  • Children under 8 must be supervised in the water by an adult (18+), with a maximum ratio of two children to one adult.
  • Participants must register for the ActiveWestminster card in advance. All children must be residents to quality for the scheme.
  • All swim sessions must be pre-booked. Wristbands to collected at reception.
  • Available Monday – Friday, from 10am to 4pm during school holidays (times may vary by pool).

  • Monday – Friday: 10.30am – 3.30pm

MOBERLY SPORTS CENTRE (2 pools)

  • Monday – Thursday: 10am – 12pm, 1pm – 4pm
  • Friday: 10am – 12pm, 3pm – 4pm

PORCHESTER CENTRE (1 pool of 30m)

  • Monday: 2.30pm -3.30pm
  • Tuesday: 12pm – 1pm, 2.30pm – 3.30pm
  • Wednesday: 12pm – 1pm
  • Thursday: 12pm – 1pm
  • Friday: 11am – 1pm

It’s Nearly Time For Camp! Join Edutain & Edutain+ This October Half Term

Keep the kids of the screens this October half term with Edutain and Edutain+ Camps! These exciting, affordable camps are packed with multi-sport activities, arts & crafts, drama, swimming, and extra special fun Friday trips. Perfect for making new friends, staying active, and having a great time.

Edutain+ is designed to provide children with disabilities the chance to connect, engage, and play safely with their peers in an inclusive and supportive environment

We’ve made it easy to plan your child’s week of fun, friendship, and movement, find all the details below:

  • For children and young people aged 8–13 for Edutain and 8-16 for Edutain+
  • FREE spaces available for those eligible for free school meals

Whether it’s football, arts and crafts, team games, or just making new friends — there’s something for everyone

Edutain camp dates:

Camps are open to children aged 8-13 and run from 10:00am to 3:00pm from Monday 27 – Friday 31 October

Edutain+: Where Every Child Belongs

With Edutain+, children and young people with disabilities can explore, create, and stay moving in a fully supported, welcoming setting.

Camp will be open to children aged 8–16 where they enjoy exciting, accessible activities that spark imagination and build confidence and will run from 10:00 am to 3:00pm from Tuesday 28 – Thursday 30 October.
