Schools Out - Get Ready for Some Fun with Edutain and Edutain+ Summer Camps!

Make sure you sign up for some Summer fun with Edutain and Edutain+ this summer holiday! From dancing, to arts, crafts, swimming and trips to cool places – there is something for everyone!

EDUTAIN SUMMER PROGRAMME

This year’s summer camp for children will run on the following dates (Monday to Friday) between 10am – 3:00pm:

  • Week 1: 29 July – 2 August
  • Week 2: 5 – 9 August
  • Week 3: 12 – 16 August
  • Week 4: 19 – 23 August
  • Week 5: 27 – 30 August

There are two great locations where you can attend:

  • Academy Sport, Torquay Street, W2 5EW
  • Community Centre, Under Morgan House, Lillington Gardens, SW1V 2LF

To be eligible, children need to be 8 – 13 years old and live or study in Westminster.

Spaces fill up quickly, so make sure you sign up before it’s to late.

*Cost for non-Free School Meals Children and Young People: £1:00 child/day ECHP required

EDUTAIN+ SUMMER CAMP

Edutain+ has been designed to allow children with disabilities to engage with their peers, have fun and get active.

This year’s Edutain+ Summer Camp will be running on the following dates (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays) between 10 am – 3:00 pm: 

  • Week 1: 30, 31 July – 1 August
  • Week 2: 6. 7 & 8 August
  • Week 3: 13, 14, 15 August
  • Week 4: 20, 21, 22 August
The camp will take place at: 
  • Academy Sport, Torquay Street, W2 5EW

To be eligible, children need to be 8 – 16 years old and live or study in Westminster.

Kickfit – A new Brand of Football Fitness is coming your way!

KickFit - A New Brand of Football based Fitness for Women

KickFit is a brand-new fitness programme designed  for women, harnessing the power of football in a completely new way.

3 FREE Sessions up for grabs!

Make sure you sign up for the 3 FREE sessions to get a feel of this fantastic new programme. Let all your girls know!
  • Saturday 22nd June
  • Saturday 29th June
  • Saturday 6th July
The sessions are just £8 a week from Saturday 13th July.

Football x Circuit Training

The sessions are based on a circuit training method with the activities themselves using more traditional fitness exercises combined with football training techniques and equipment to offer a wide variety of fun individual and team based exercises through a timed rotation.

Designed for Women

The programme has been designed to cater to the physical fitness needs of women from all walks of life, of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. 

The sessions are structured to ensure that all participants can progress at their own pace, in a safe, fun and social environment.

Join Pimlico Library's Big Olympic Summer Move 2024!

Head down to Pimlico Library next Saturday 8th June between 12:00 – 3:00 pm for what promises to be a great celebration of FREEfun activities to get us all moving and excited for this year’s Olympics!

So many great things to do!

Here’s a run down of all the amazing activities that will be taking place on the day inside the library:

  • 12:30 pm – Fencing Demonstration
  • 1:00 pm – Dancing by Unique Dynamites
  • 1:30 pm – Football Challenge by Pro Touch SA CIC
  • 2:00 pm – Street Dance Workshop Presented by USDD Networks
  • 2:30 pm = ‘Sing out’ Pimlico Choir

The below will take place at St George’s Square Street Play:

  • 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm – Football skills with Little Kickers & Techniques Football Academy

Know Ball Games Pilot Consultation Phase 4 - Drop in sessions and survey on new proposal starting Tuesday 28May

The next stage of the Know Ball Games project, Phase 4, is to engage with residents on the new signage design, programming ideas and how tackling anti-social behaviour and the Ecological Emergency agenda aligns with this.
 
To begin this process, we are launching new design ideas for residents to comment on via an online survey and we encourage all residents to provide feedback. We are also hosting drop-in sessions with the Sport, Leisure and Active Communities and Housing teams in each area if you wish to talk to officer about the design.

Bowls’ Big Weekend is back from Friday 24 to Monday 27 May at Paddington Sports Club

Bowls’ Big Weekend will have 674 clubs across the country opening their doors to enable new participants to discover everything that is great about this great, sociable, accessible sport.

Be ready to have fun, bowls is for everyone!

The Big Bowl’s Weekend is funded by Bowls England in partnership with Aviva.
 
In Westminster, Paddington Sports Club, based at Castellain Road, W91HQ is offering during that weekend, every day from Friday to Sunday sessions from 2-4pm (weather permitting).
