Unfortunately some of the NSC sessions at Queen’s Park Gardens have been put on pause until further notice. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and hope to have them up and running very soon.

With the exception of some minor planting and pathway repairs the works have been essentially completed. However, due to the earlier heavy rain, followed by the cold frosty period which was followed again by heavy rain, the new planting is in a fragile state. In order to give the plants every chance to thrive we have decided to postpone the opening of the area until mid-February.

Black on Board is a free governance training programme for the Global Majority – Black, Brown, Asian and dual heritage individuals.
The programme is delivered by Olmec (an award winning, Black and Minoritised Communities led, Race Equality organisation) in collaboration with Westminster City Council and is designed to support personal development and improve management skills with a view to enable people to take on board positions.
The application deadline is Monday 19th February 2024 so make sure you take advantage of this amazing development opportunity!
As a participant you will receive:

– Board opportunities
– Mentorship
– Network opportunities
To be eligible to participate, you must be:
– 16 years of age and over
– From a Global Majority background
– Live, work or study in the Westminster

The goal of this project is renovate the space to improve safety and install a more inclusive design with systems and components that will allow children from all walks of life with varying abilities to play together in a rich and engaging way. No child should be left out.
As always your views matter. We see this project as a co-design and want to know what you think will improve the playground for maximum usage of an outdoor space whilst providing an inclusive and accessible play area.

Normal access will resume as of next Tuesday 30th January.
From Monday 5th February, ActiveWestminster Network partners are invited to submit a proposal for funding support of up to £1000. This funding can be used to support a new or upscaling of a health and wellbeing physical activity community project.
Submission Deadline: Sunday 3rd March 2024 at midnight
Project Delivery Timeframe: April 2024 – September 2024
