The TCS Mini London Marathon Para Championships 2024 Takes Place on Saturday 20th April

The TCS Mini London Marathon Para Championships provide an amazing launch pad for young British para athletes.

Cross the world famous TCS – London Marathon Finish Line on the Mall!

Young disabled athletes aged 11-17, who use wheelchairs or have physical and sensory impairments are invited to participate in the Wheelchair and Ambulant race categories.

All Facilities Reopened at Paddington Recreation Ground Today Monday 4th March

All facilities have now been re – opened at Paddington Recreation Ground. 

We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the earlier closure due to the icy and slippery conditions. As always your safety is our number one priority.

They offer a range of memberships for NHS & Imperial College London staff, students & the general public.

Important things to note:

Operating hours vary depending on membership:

– NHS staff members have access 24 hours, 7 days a week

– All other members can access the gym between 6.30 a.m. and 9.00 a.m. 7 days a week.

The Gym is located in the Basement level, Cambridge Wing, St Mary’s Hospital, Praed Street, London, W2 1NY.

Make Sure You Have Voter ID

To Vote in Elections in England You Need to Show Voter ID

The UK Government has introduced a requirement for voters to show ID when voting at polling stations. 

Please refer to this comprehensive list of accepted ID forms and requirements.

If you don’t have an accepted ID form or you are not sure whether your photo ID still looks like you, you can apply for a free voter ID document, known as a Voter Authority Certificate

Some things to remember so you don’t miss your chance to vote:

Dance for Disability Classes Every Sunday with the Superb Step Change Studios!

Get those dancing shoes out! The Step Change Studios are back in action with their dance classes for disabled young people every Sunday!

These fun, creative and inclusive classes help children to express themselves & learn new skills, drawing on a variety of dance styles. Not only does dance require a great deal of physical endurance, but it’s also used as an outlet to work through emotional challenges. It helps to  promote strength, coordination, and balance for people with disabilities, improving overall well-being. 

Some things to note:
Open to dancers of all abilities, classes will take place every Sunday between 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Porchester Centre, Queensway, W2 5HS and are open to young people aged 11+ for £3.00

Parkour isn’t just a sport, it’s a discipline, art & philosophy, designed to build confidence, determination and self-reliance. You’ll learn how to use your body freely to do cool things like quadrupedal movement, jumping, climbing, running and much more!

Who better to learn with then the best in the business – Parkour Generations London!

Sessions will take place every Friday evening at Academy Sport, Torquay St, London W2 5EW and will be available for juniors and youths. Make sure you sign up below – spaces are filling up quickly!

Junior Parkour (ages 6 -9): 6:00 – 7:15 p.m.

Youth Parkour (ages 10 – 15): 7:30 – 8:45 p.m.
