With an ActiveWestminster Card (You must apply for and get one before booking a swim session), children living in Westminster can swim for FREE when accompanied by an adult at one of our leisure centres with pools

Check eligibility and rules

  • One free adult per qualifying child.
  • Free swim session times vary by leisure centre – check websites for details.
  • Children under 8 must be supervised in the water by an adult (18+), with a maximum ratio of two children to one adult.
  • Participants must register for the ActiveWestminster card in advance. All children must be residents to quality for the scheme.
  • All swim sessions must be pre-booked. Wristbands to be collected at reception.
  • Available Monday – Friday, from 10am to 4pm during school holidays (times may vary by pool).

Sessions are running throughout the Easter holiday period and booking one is simple! Each sessions is one hour long, and times vary by pool, please check beforehand to avoid dissapointment .

It’s your final chance to be recognised, supported and take your performance to the next level

Time is almost up. Application for the ActiveWestminster’s Champions of the Future programme close tonight at midnight and this is your final opportunity to be recognised as one of Westminster’s rising sporting stars.

Make sure you take advantage of this amazing opportunity delivered to you by Westminster City Council, in partnership with Everyone Active and Kings College London

Step in to your future

Champions of the Future isn’t just about funding, it’s a platform to elevate your sporting journey to the highest level. 

Selected athletes will gain access to the support, recognition and development opportunities needed to push their performance further and unlock their potential.

You get access to:

  • Funding support to help you train and compete at an elite level
  • Access to mentoring and athlete development opportunities
  • Official recognition as on of Westminster’s future sporting champions

Application criteria and process

Athletes accepted on to the scheme are selected based on their sporting success and the level at which they compete

To be considered for the programme applicants must:

  • Live, study or work in Westminster
  • Be registered with a National Governing Body affiliated club

and either:

  • Be ranked in the top 20 at a regional competition in the current year (2024- 2025), or
  • Be a member of a regional squad (age band to senior) with regional squad results in the current championship year (2024 – 2025).

Active Streets Coach-Led Activity Sessions Timetable Confirmed

Westminsters Streets are set to move once again!

We are pleased to announce confirmed activity sessions for Play Street and Street Play Sessions for Spring and Summer 2026. Residential roads will be transformed into safe, welcoming spaces where children, families and neighbours can play be active and connect.

From informal games and multi-sports activities to relaxed free play, these sessions make physical activity accessible and inclusive and best of all they are right on your doorstep, helping local residents stay active while building stronger community connections.

Delivered in partnership with Everyone ActiveLondon Capital and Happy Lizzy Hub, these sessions will allow residents of all ages to move, play and connect in their local streets.

Looking for ways to make sure the kids burn off all that Easter egg energy this half term? We’ve got it covered! Sign the kids up for the ActiveWestminster Edutain and Edutain+ school holiday camps.

Active days, creative play

Our Easter camps are all about keeping young people moving, learning new skills and enjoying their time off from school in a supportive enviroment.
  • Open to ages 8-13 (Edutain) and 8-16 (Edutain+)
  • A mix of sports, team games, and creative activities
  • Opportunities to build confidence, try new things and meet others

Eligible families can access free spots, helping ensure everyone can take part.

Edutain camp dates:

Designed for children aged 8-13 Edutain camps run throughout the Easter holidays and run from 10:00am to 3:00pm.

  • Week 1: Monday 30 March – Thursday 2 April
  • Week 2: Tuesday 7 April – Friday 10 April

Edutain+: Inclusive holiday fun without limits

Edutain+ is all about creating a space where every young person can get involved, feel confident and enjoy their school holidays their way.

Designed for children and young people with disabilities aged 8-16, these sessions offer a mix of sport, movement and creative activities adapted to suit different needs and abilities. Whether it’s trying something new, building skills or simply having fun with others, everyone us supported to take part and feel included. Sessions will run between 10:00am to 3:00pm.

This consultation aims to understand how Paddington Street Gardens North could be made better for the local community. There is an ambition locally for the site to be improved, and we are inviting you to share your views at this early stage to help us consider what could be achieved before seeking funding.
